“Let thy food be thy medicine…”
About Me
I’m an Alabama native with two daughters who were both born at home. I take pride in traveling with them and teaching them about different plants and herbs from our home garden. Curating culturally safe spaces for people to heal is what I do best. I’m passionate about the well-being of Black and Indigenous people of Color (BIPOC) and also assisting people on their journey in ancestral healing. For over seven years I’ve worked as a Master Herbalist throughout various communities with the last four years focusing primarily on Women and Children. I ‘m a traditional birth worker and Certified Lactation Counselor with a passion for assisting families during their postpartum journeys. Most of my advocacy work is best seen in advocating for sovereignty amongst women, children, and families in rural communities both locally and in villages internationally. At times my international missions and advocacy work has also called for the education and incorporation of traditional herbal remedies as well as my spiritual insight as a Seer.
During pregnancy I assist people on their journey of birthing not just their little ones, but theirselves again. In the spiritual, communal, and business spaces, I help people give birth to those dreams and desires that may have laid dormant for some time. In every circumstance, the power of the Divine Feminine as it relates to birthing and creativity is within every being. And it is something that should be nurtured by the hands of a caring and compassionate person. As a Master Herbalist in the South I offer traditional plant medicine such as teas, tinctures, herbal baths, etc. My desire is to continuously curate safe spaces for ongoing community education and inspire the lives of those throughout my community locally and internationally.
Currently, I serve families throughout Jefferson, Shelby, Dallas, and Lowndes County. A deep sense of my commitment to the “Black Belt” counties is due to my maternal roots being from Selma and Tyler, Alabama. These roots are the foundation of my work. It is here where my foremothers were amongst the 370+ Black midwives once serving Alabama. It is truly by the Spirit of these Foremothers and Ancestors that I move, love, care, and pour devotion onto my clients.

Many of the herbs I use are grown or harvested by me. I practice with an African-centered approach and I believe that you can not truly care for someone’s physical body without first acknowledging the Spirit and mental state of a person as well. I tend to describe my work as an holistic approach accompanied by using best evidence-based practices.
